Cancer screening camp at ADK
As part of commemorating World Cancer Day 2015, with the slogan of "Not Beyond Us", ADK Hospital in collaboration with Indo-American Cancer Hospital, India, the Indian High Commission in Maldives and Cancer Society of Maldives, has conducted a walk in Male to create awareness on Cancer.

The Walk began at Artificial Beach at 4:00pm and was followed by a Yoga class.

As part of the activities, a Cancer Screening Camp was also commenced yesterday on the occassion of Cancer Day 2015 and to commemorate the India-Maldives relations’ Golden Jubilee.

The free cancer screening camp was inaugurated by the Indian High Commissioner Rajeev Sahare and Managing Director of ADAK Ahmed Afal.

Speaking to the media, Afal said that the more than 200 people noted their names within two hours of the announcement of the screening camp on the first of this month.

He said that this shows the necessity of this camp to the people.

Afal said that the camp will be continued for two days and the camp will be also held in Thinadhoo’s Dr. Abdusamad Memorial Hospital.
