Attorney General has given the license to practice law to 17 Sharia course graduates of the Villa College.
The 17 graduates took their oath at the presence of Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Attorney General Mohamed Anil.
The oath was given by Supreme Court judge Abdulla Areef.
According to the office of the Attorney General now the number of legal practitioners in Maldives is 815.
Villa College’s Rector, Dr. Ahmed Anwar said that he is very happy that graduates of Villa College were given the licence to practice law. He thanked and congratulated the students on behalf of the Villa College and on his own behalf.
