Jumhooree Party has commenced discussions with other political parties to protect the constitutional rights of the people.
At the discussions held tonight at the Jumhooree Party’s main activity center, M. Kunooz, the discussions were held between Jumhooree Party and Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed and Henveir constituency MP Abdulla Shahid and Mohamed Shihab participated on behalf of MDP.
Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim, Deputy leader Dr. Hussein Rasheed Hassan, Parliamentary Group Deputy Leader Abdulla Riyaz, Mathiveri constituency MP Hussein Mohamed and Kendhoo constituency MP Ali Hussein and the Secretary General Ahmed Sameer participated on behalf of the Jumhooree Party.
Deputy Leader Ameen Ibrahim said that the MDP and Jumhooree Party agreed to work together to bring reform to the country.
Ameen said that both the parties agreed to work within and outside the Peoples’ Majlis to achieve this goal.
Jumhooree Party also invited Adhaalat Party and Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) were also invited to join the discussions.
