Jumhooree Party’s National Steering Committee gives decision making power to the leader of the party, Gasim Ibrahim to protect and uphold the constitution.
The resolution submitted to the National Steering Committee by the party’s Deputy Leader Ameen Ibrahim and Deputy Leader Dr. Hussein Rasheed was passed with the unanimous agreement by all members who were present during the meeting.
The resolution states that the decision making power to choose what and with whom to do to protect and uphold the constitution should be given to the party leader Gasim Ibrahim in a time the government is trying to constrict the freedom and basic rights granted by the constitution by way of amending the constitution and sacking all those who are not supportive of this from the government.
The steering committee also agreed to work in line with the directives of the party leader Gasim Ibrahim to protect the constitution.
The resolution stated that all important decisions will be discussed in the next meeting of the National Steering Committee of the party.
