President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has met with the Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed and MNDF Major General Ahmed Shiyam and top officials of MNDF.
President met Commissioner Hussein Waheed at Hussein Adam Building and he met the MNDF officials at MNDF Headquarters.
Some of the media reports say that the President met with the Commissioner of Police and MNDF top officials without prior notice.
Spokesperson of the government, Ibrahim Muaz Ali said that he did not receive any information regarding the meetings.
“Perhaps the media saw the President entering the building therefore it is no problem if they report that,” he said.
MNDF and Police did not disclose any information regarding the meetings to the media as of yet.
Meanwhile, Maldives Police Service recently conducted a search operation on the residency of Minister of Defence, Mohamed Nazim.
