Jumhooree Party’s Secretary General, Ahmed Sameer has said that if the government implements the manifesto of the Jumhooree Party then the people of Maldives will see prosperity.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Sameer said that the current government came to power with the help of the Jumhooree Party. He said that the government ruling party Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) agreed to implement the Jumhooree Party after cming to power.
“However, we do not see the implement the Jumhooree Party,” he said.
Sameer said that if the government implements the Jumhooree Party manifesto Maldives will see much better days of prosperity and happiness.
Sameer said that many people do not get internet access. “Jumhooree Party’s electoral pledges in the manifesto include providing high speed internet. This has not been fulfilled by the government,” he said.
Sameer said that the party has been cooperating with the government however, PPM announced that Jumhooree Party is not part of the ruling coalition.
Sameer said that the government can implement the manifesto when the government is fully established.
“There is no health minister. Days and days have passed without a health minister. The defence ministry is now a half ministry. The Defence minister is also managing ministry of health. The constitution clearly mentions how this should be done,” he said.
