Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has called teachers to teach proportionate to their new increased salaries.
In a press conference held in PPM office, the spokesperson of the party and Kelaa constituency MP Ali Arif said that the academic new year begins with changes to the salaries of the teachers.
In this regard, he called all teachers to work hard to show the increase in their salaries from the students.
Ali Arif said that teachers will get an increment of 33 percent as allowances in addition to their salaries. He said that he hopes that the teachers will work hard to make the students achieve good results.
Ali Arif noted that the issue of the salaries of the teachers was an issue that has been unresolved for long.
