State Trading Organization (STO) has donated MVR 335, 385 to Mushaf Maldeef fund to help publish of the special Quran copy for Maldivians known as “Mushaf Maldeef” project of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
In a special ceremony held at the Islamic Ministry, STO’s Managing Director Adam Azim said that the donation was made considering to receive three mushaf person employee of STO.
Adam Azim said that STO’s aim is to help publish 4350 copies of the mushaf.
“STO will be 50 years this year. Therefore, we deiced to donate a copy to every staff and two members of their families each. We believe that no one can give anything more valuable than this. What is more greater as a gift than this?,” he said.
Adam Azim thanked and expressed gratitude to the government and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for opening such an opportunity.
“I thank the President Abdulla Yameen and the Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem,” he said.
Many have been making generous donations to the project commenced by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. Up until now about 20 companies have made donations to the project.
Recently, State Electric Company (STELCO) made a donation of MVR 154, 200 to the publishing of the special Quran copy for Maldivians.
