President of the Adhaalath Party, Sheikh Imran Abdulla has said that holding music shows against the religion by bringing disbelievers is a big crime against Islam.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, the President of the Adhaalath Party said that Maldives is a hundred percent Muslim nation and therefore it is not acceptable for the government to hold music shows by bringing disbelievers,
He said that it is very saddening that the government is holding a show with the American R&B and hip hop recording artist, songwriter, and record producer, Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Bongo Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam famously known as Akon performing.
Imran said that the Adhaalath Party will take action regardless who is in government if the government transgresses the bounds.
However, he said that before taking that step, the party will first hold discussions with the government. He said that the party will take action if the government does not resolve these issues within the discussions.
In addition to this, Imran said that the party held discussions during former President Nasheed’s government when he went overboard.
