Dr. Abdulla Shiham has revealed that he will be running for presidency in the 2018 Presidential Election.
He revealed this in his viber group requesting suggestions and feedback for this decision.
Former Chairman of Bank of Maldives (BML), told Vmedia, that he had decided to run for Presidency since the political leaders of the country had failed, due to which the unity of the country had been lost.
According to Vmedia, Dr. Shiham stated that he will be running for president as an independent candidate.
Speaking about the expenditure of the presidential campaign, Dr Shiham said that he would seek help in our creator, Allah. He added that he does not intend to "buy" anything by contending at the elections, instead he intends to "sell" something.
Dr Shiham had attained his PhD from the International Islamic University of Malaysia in the field of Islamic Shariah.
He had spent numerous years servicing the country through the government.
