State Electric Company (STELCO) has made a donation of MVR 154, 200 to the publishing of the special Quran copy for Maldivians known as “Mushaf Maldeef” project of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
In a special ceremony held yesterday morning, the donation was handed over to the minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed by the Managing Director of Stelco, Abdushukoor.
Dr. Shaheem expressed his gratitude to Stelco and all of its officials and staffs for their generous donation to the project.
He said that the publishing of a special mushaf to Maldives will be an honor to all Maldivians. He said that many people have been coming to the ministry asking for mushafs.
Many have been making generous donations to the project commenced by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. Up until now about 20 companies have made donations to the project.
