Dean of the Faculty of the Islamic Studies, Dr. Ibrahim Zakariyya Moosa has said that the faculty is one of the most brightest religious lamp post every illuminated in the Maldives.
Dr. Zakariyya made this remark speaking at the ceremony held to sign an agreement with the Islamic Ministry to cooperate in strengthening the Islamic unity of Maldives.
Dr. Zakariyya said that the faculty have been working to protect and preserve the Islamic unity in the Maldives since long. He said that the cooperation with the Islamic ministry in this regard will bring more good results in this regard.
He said that the memorandum of understanding includes of strengthening ties between religions scholars and assisting the Islamic ministry in holding Islamic workshops.
The Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies further said that the faculty has been working with the ministry even before but now with the signing of the MOU this will become official and more successful.
