MDP five members of the Peoples’ Majlis from the six members who opposed the whip line issued by MDP against the amendment submitted for the Judges Act have sent a letter of apology to the party.
MDP stated that their five members apologized from the general members of the party and the leaders of MDP in a letter sent on January 1st of this year.
The members who signed the letter were, Velidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Yameen, Mulaku constituency MP Ibrahim Naseer, Vaiakaradhoo constituency MP Mohamed Niyaz, Kurendhoo constituency MP Abdul Bari Abdulla and Felidhoo constituency MP Ahmed Marzooq.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the Peoples’ Majlis, Hulhuhenveiru constituency MP, Moosa Manik decided to appeal Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s decision to terminate his membership from the party.
