Sheikh Mohamed Qubad Abu Bakr has said that the Prophet of Islam taught to live peacefully with the non-Muslims.
Sheikh Qubad made this remark speaking to Miadhu Daily on the occasion of the Eid Miladu Nabi.
He said that terrorism, radicalism and extremism and showing enmity towards non Muslims is not from Islam.
Sheikh Qubad said that the Prophet made peace treaties with the Jews after establishing the Islamic State in Medina.
“The peace treaty called to cooperate with another. To respect one another. And to work side by side,” he said.
Qubad said that the Prophet taught the Muslims to show love and respect to the people of other religions and to establish universal brotherhood between people of all customs and religions.
“We should take and accept the message of mercy from the life of the prophet on this auspicious occasion. However today we see hatred and enmity towards one another in the society,” he said.
