Assistant Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Adil bin Ali has said that Muslims are being humiliated today by their enemies because of their own actions.
He made this remark speaking at the special lecture held at the Islamic Center which was organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
Dr. Adil said that Muslims are being labeled as radicals, extremists and terrorists because of the actions of some people. He said that the reason for this is straying away from the prophetic methodology and traversing upon ones whims and desires.
“The image of Islam is being tarnished by the actions of some of our people,” he said.
Dr. Adil said that Islam calls for social justice and therefore all people of all customs and religions should be treated justly and fairly without depriving them of their rights. He said that Muslims should live with them in good showing them the best of manners and moral characteristics.
He said that the way of the Prophet was to treat all people justly and that includes the non-muslims as well. And he said that the image of Islam should not be tarnished by extremist and radical behavior that has no place in Islam.
Dr. Adil said that Islam does not condone reacting to a wrongdoer with another wrong doing. He said that many of those who ascribe to Islam are far away from its true teachings.
In last night’s lecture, Dr. Adil also spoke about the moral uprightness of the Prophet. He said that the Prophet was sent as a mercy to all people and with the best of manners.
