Commander of the coastguard Brigadier General Ali Zuhair has retired from Maldivian National Defence Force.
He retired on last Thursday. He served in MNDF for 30 years. In addition to heading the coastguard he was also the chairman of SIVEC the welfare company of MNDF.
As per the laws of MNDF, soldiers who serve for more than 20 years can retire honorably.
