Government reveals that 1.450637 tourists arrived to Maldives in the year 2014.
This was revealed in the Tourism Countdown show held at Galolhu Football stadium last night.
With 1 million tourists arrival in the year 2013, the expected arrival rate for the year 2014 was 1.2 million. Therefore this is an increase of 2 lakh tourists.
Chinese market remains as the leading market of tourist arrival for Maldivian tourism industry.
With the increase in local tourism, tourist arrival was expected to increase because of the cheap rates.
