Tourist Police has begun an awareness program for guest houses in Hulhumale’.
Under the program, the police will provide information about safety measures and check whether the guest houses are following safety regulations. In addition, they will discuss ways to minimize tourists from acting indecently in inhabited islands.
Furthermore, they will also discuss ways to reduce accidents at sea and also promote the toll free number of tourist police 1478.
The Police Service aims to visit 88 guest hoses in Hulhumale’ during the program.
