Ceremony held to inaugurate Water supply Network, Household Connections, and Allied Works in Addu City
The Water Supply Facilities to be established in Addu City has been inaugurated by President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayyoom. The inauguration was held Sunday afternoon in S.HulhuMeedhoo. Apart from the President, S.Hulhudhoo Parliament Member Mohamed Shaahid, Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Managing Director of FENAKA Corporation Limited Mr. Mohamed Nimal, Council Members of Addu City and S.Hulhudhoo Council and senior officials of Government and FENAKA were present at the event.

Completion of Water Supply Network, Household Connection and Allied Works in Addu City is carried out by FENAKA Corporation Limited (FENAKA).

The project includes excavation and laying of water supply pipes and fixing of water meters and to complete water supply facilities in the selected islands of Addu City. The total cost of this project is MRF 35,345,154.64 and is scheduled to be completed in December 2015. This project would provide safe water supply for the people of Addu City.

President Abdullah Yameen and Minister of Environment and Energy, Managing Director of FENAKA Corporation and S.Hulhudhoo Parliament Member Mohamed Shaahid also addressed at the ceremony.
