Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee has stated that if the people of Maldives show their unity and welcome the tourists visiting Maldives with great hospitality then more investors will come to Maldives.
Dr. Shainee made this remark speaking at the ceremony held to open Vaavu Keyodhoo’s new mosque. He noted the warm welcome given by the people of Keyodhoo to their guests who participated in the ceremony.
He said that if tourists are given such warm welcomes then their love for Maldives and the people of Maldives will increase. He said that they will provide more assistance to Maldives as well.
Dr. Shainee said that the current government has established stability and peace in the country now and the results have been very fruitful.
“Therefore, we should show our guests that we are united. That we are one. We should show that we are a friendly people. This will definitely increase the attraction of investors,” he said.
Dr. Shainee said that Maldivians are known for their warm welcome and smiling faces when welcoming tourists.
He said that this should be revived and people should welcome tourists with smiling faces.
