No father will want to take the coffin of their son- CP
Commissioner of Police Hussein Waheed has said that no father will ever want to take the coffin of their son but rather every father will want their sons to take their coffins.

Commissioner of Police issued concern regarding the drug epidemic of Maldives. In an interview to Miadhu Daily, the commissioner stated that it is worrying that many of the youth are becoming victim to drug over dose and other such drug related fatal accidents and gang killings.

He said that every father and mother will want their children to be brought up upon goodness and no one will ever want their children to choose drugs.

“Their dreams are shattered. So the parents should also play a responsible role. There are some parents among us who say that their kids does not do hard drugs but they might do soft drugs. This is something that cannot be accepted,” he said.

He said that if hash and alcohol is not a problem but heroine alone is regarded as a problem then this is a new trend of drug culture that is being revived in the Maldives.

Hussein Waheed said that no one should think like this and the parents should play a much responsible role. He said that they should consider it a problem if they find their children doing drugs regardless of the type of drug they use.
