After the Elections Commission of the Maldives conducted a recount of some of the ballot boxes for Maamigili constituency, the number of votes for Qasim Ibrahim has increased.
Qasim Ibrahim is the leader of JP and also the current MP for the constituency. His votes increased by 18 and the total number of votes for Qasim is now 1163.
MDP’s candidate, Ali Ameez also got extra 11 votes. The difference between the two candidates is now 110 votes.
Elections Commission is recounting the ballot boxes of some other constituencies as well.
