Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has said that the ministry will make efforts to include Vaavu Atoll in Islamic and national programs more.
Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed made this remark speaking at the ceremony held to open Zaid bin Thabit mosque of Vaavu atoll Keyodhoo.
The minister said that the participation of the people of Vaavu atoll is smaller in number in Quran competitions and other such religious and national programs. He said that he will do everything he can to make sure that more participants from Vaavu atoll are participating in such events.
“I have full certainty that this will be rectified. The student who recited the Quran to open this ceremony recited beautifully. This is the happiness we are see,” he said.
Dr. Shaheem said that the new mosque opened in Keyodhoo will become the Islamic center of Keyodhoo.
