Superintend of Police Mohammed Riyaz has been appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Riyaz was given his credentials by Commissioner of Police Mohammed Hameedh today.
Assistant Commissioner Riyaz headed major criminal investigations in the past few years. He was dismissed from Maldives Police Service in 2017. However the Civil Court ordered to reinstate him last December.
In addition, Abdullah Ahmed who was the Chief Superintend was also promoted to the position of Assistant Commissioner.
