Former Speaker of the Parliament, Abdullah Maseeh has decided not to run for parliament.
According to sources, Maseeh made the decision after the PPM leadership decided to support JP’s candidate in his constituency.
MP Mubeen of Bilehdhoo constituency confirmed that Maseeh will not be running for parliament in the upcoming elections.
Some sources say that JP and PPM/PNC plans to run as a coalition in the upcoming elections. Other constituencies which PPM intends to support JP includes Maduvvari constituency and Gemanafushi constituency.
