Dr. Abdulla al-Ubaid from Saudi Arabia has stated that he is proud of the people of Maldives for remaining upon Islam in this time.
Dr. Abdulla the head of the Saudi delegates made this remark in a meeting held at the Islamic Center. He said that the delegates were sent by the Saudi government to discuss the areas that Maldives needs Saudi Arabia’s assistance.
“We will look into helping the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. We will also look for business and investment opportunities. Investment opportunities are very important to strengthen the relationship between Maldives and US,” he said.
Dr. Abdulla said that this visit will be the beginning of assistance to the Maldives and more similar visits will follow suite. He said that additional businessmen from Saudi Arabia will be also visiting Maldives.
In addition to this, DR. Abdulla expressed gratitude to Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed for his hospitality.
