More than 50,000 Rufiyaa has been stolen from the safe of the office of the Economic Ministry in Addu City.
According to Maldives Police, the police received a complaint from the office stating that the office was broken into and the safe of the office was stolen. As per the officials from the office, the safe had more than 50,000 Rufiyaa.
So far no one has been arrested regarding the matter.
In the past 2 weeks, more than 6 safes were stolen all over the Maldives.
Maldives Police Service is now investigating the case.
