CCCC, the company which developed China Maldives Friendship Bridge has stated that more than 10,000 people use the bridge everyday.
Speaking to the media, offiials of the company stated that they will continue to maintain the bridge for 2 years. That also includes training Maldivians to maintain the bridge in future.
The company also stated that they have begun cleaning the construction site of the bridge and also removed the temporary bridge developed to build the main bridge.
CMF bridge is the first sea crossing bridge in the Maldives. The bridge was developed through loans and grants from China. The bridge was officially inaguruated by former President Yameen.
