Ibrahim Mohammed Ali, Ma.Baabulavaalu has decided to contest for Mahchan Goalhi Medhu constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Ibrahim Mohammed completed his higher studies in Islamic Shariah. He played a key role in the demonstrations held against former President Nasheed’s administration in 2011 and 2012.
Ibrahim also invests a lot of his time in spreading awareness about Islam. He appears regularly on Islamic TV and radio shows. Ibrahim also businesses and contributes to CSR projects.
Ibrahim’s father Sheikh Mohammed Ibrahim is one of the most prominent religious scholars in the Maldives. He was a justice at the high court and was even punished for spreading religious awareness.
According to Ibrahim his biggest motive to contest in the elections is to prevent the rise of secularism in Maldives and to serve the people of Maldives.
