Indian Ambassador to Maldives H.E Akhilesh Mishra has paid a courtesy call to Qasim Ibrahim the speaker of the parliament.
During the meeting, Speaker Qasim noted that Maldives and India are close friends. Qasim thanked the ambassador for his role in further strengthening the relations between the two countries. In addition they discussed on ways in which India can assist Maldives.
Speaking at the meeting, Indian Ambassador highlighted the close relations between the peoples of these two nations. He said that he experienced Maldivian hospitality during his visits to different parts of the Maldives.
