Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Gasim Ibrahim has said that the Jumhooree Party is moving forward at a stead speed in serving the nation.
Gasim Ibrahim made this remark speaking at the special ceremony which was held in Paradise Island Resort to celebrate the membership of the Madaveli constituency member Muaz Mohamed - the only member in the Peoples Majlis who did not represent any political party to Jumhooree Party.
Gasim noted that the part began with very few members but now is one of the most successful and accepted parties in Maldives. He said that the acceptance by the people encourages the party to move forward.
Gasim said that hopefully more members will join the party in the coming days. And the party will not have the problem of having too few members.
The Jumhooree Party leader noted that PPM after coming to power broke the coalition of parties and rejected the Jumhooree Party. However, he said that this has not stopped the Jumhooree Party from proclaiming the truth and advocating for the rights of the people.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Leader of the Jumhooree Party, Ameen Ibrahim said that Jumhooree Party will do what is necessary for the development of the nation and the people.
He said that the past elections have showed that the people have accepted the Jumhooree Party.
