The two ex-bodyguards of former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb has been changed to house arrest.
Ahmed Amir and Ahmed Rikaz, the two ex-bodyguards were changed to house arrest temporarily.
They were jailed for 10 years after the court found them guilty of their role in the attempted assassination of former President Yameen. They were changed to house arrest by the Home Ministry. Home Ministry has the authority to temporarily change inmates to the house if needed. So far Maldives Correctional Service has not stated anything officially.
They were changed to house arrest earlier today.
