Former Elections Commissioner Fuwad Thaufeeg have stated that the former vice president Ahmed Adheeb’s trial should be reviewed as well like all other politicians who were jailed in the past 5 years.
Fuwad tweeted saying that it is questionable why Adheeb was taken back to jail all of a sudden.
Adheeb was taken back to jail two days ago after more than two months at home. Adheeb was jailed in 2015 after he was convicted of various crimes. He underwent a surgery in November 2018 and was changed to house arrest as per the advice of the doctors.
Home Minister Imran stated that the doctor advised to change Adheeb to a homely environment for 2 months and the doctors did not advise to extend his stay at home.
