JP has the candidates to contest in 87 constituencies, but we want to make a decision through the commission : Qasim

JP’s leader Qasim Ibrahim have said that JP also has the candidates to contest in 87 constituencies in the upcoming parliamentary elections, but they want to make decision regarding that through the coalition.

In an event held by JP last night, Qasim said that many members of JP are expressing their interest to contest in the elections, but they have not made a decision because they respect the coalition’s agreement.

“We will not break the coalition. We will do everything in accordance with the regulations” said Qasim. Qasim said that even JP can contest and it is the people who will make the final decision. “We will not hesitate to contest and there will come a time when the waiting stops because Elections Commission has also announced the election date” said Qasim.

Furthermore he said that the people do not make decisions based on who is more powerful, but they make decisions based on competency and the people vote based on that no matter the party the candidate contests from.

In addition he said that no one should harass the other person or punish without a just cause and no one can maintain that forever.

He said that as Muslims everyone should refrain from such acts. “There are people who might have problems with their faith but they should not harass others. It is a crime in Islam to harass others” said Qasim. Qaism noted that some people harass prophet Mohammed PBUH and such people are destroying the social fabric of the society.
