Rear Admiral A. S. M. A. Awal, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Maldives has stated that the people of Maldives are a remarkable people and he is happy that they solve their problems on their own.
The High Commissioner made this remark in an interview to Miadhu Daily prior to his fairwell departure yesterday morning from Maldives.
High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Awal stated that he has served in the Maldives for four years and got the opportunity to work with three governments. He said that the three governments worked closely with the High Commission.
“I noticed that Maldivians do not want others interfering into their problems. Regardless how big it is they want to solve their problems on their own,” he said.
Awal stated that the general people, the government have extended cooperation during his tenure. He said that he can never forget the hospitality he was given by the people of Maldives and their kindness.
