President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has expressed the solidarity of the Maldivian people towards Pakistan in all its efforts in maintaining peace.
The President made this remark in his message of sympathy to President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan, on learning of the attack at the Army Public School in Peshawar, which led to the tragic loss of life and injury to over a hundred victims.
In separate messages sent to the President and Prime Minister, President Yameen strongly condemned this act of terror and expressed the solidarity of the Maldivian people towards Pakistan in all its efforts in maintaining peace.
The President also expressed the firm commitment of the Maldives, to the fight against the global menace of terrorism.
In his messages, the President conveyed the profound sympathy of the Government and the people of the Maldives, to the Governments and the people of Pakistan. President Yameen also conveyed condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
