Speaker of the parliament Qasim Ibrahim have said that the President assumed office during a time of national and religious holidays and that he is sure that the country will see development during President Solih’s administration.
Speaking at President Solih’s inauguration ceremony, Qasim Ibrahim said that the republic day and national day of Maldives was quite recent and soon we will meet the birthday of Prophet Mohammed SAW. He said that President Solih’s inauguration was held during days of religious and national festivities.
Qasim also noted that President Solih served in the parliament for 5 terms and Vice President Faisal Naseem served for one term. He assured that he will give all the support he can to the government from the parliament.
