State Trading Organization (STO) Plc has reduced the price of petrol and diesel again.
STO reduced MVR 1Ruffiya from a petrol liter and MVR 17 from a diesel liter.
Managing Director of STO, Adam Azim said that with the change brought today, STO has reduced 2.25 from a petrol liter and 2 from diesel liter.
Adam Azim said that this change was brought with the intent to bring benefit to the fisheries and tourism industry and also to bring a relief to the water company and also the power houses.
“This will also greatly benefit those who use sea and land vehicles. Many have motorcycles, this will bring a relief to their wallets,” he said.
Azim said that when he joined STO, the international price was US $ 121 and when it rose to US $ 126 he did not raise the price.
Adam Azim said that STO is trying to maintain the profit of the company MVR 40 million per month. Even with the price reduction of petrol and diesel STO has maintained the profit an average MVR 45 million.
