Majlis removes two Judges from the Supreme Court with two-third majority votes in favour
At the Twenty Fifth Sitting of the Third Session of the People’s Majlis held today, the People’s Majlis voted to remove Judges Ahmed Faiz and Musthasim Adnan from the Supreme Court, as sent in by the Judicial Service Commission in accordance with Article 154 (b) of the Constitution.

The matter when put to vote was passed with two thirds majority with 53 votes in favour. 21 Members voted against, and there was 1 abstention.

During time allocated for debate at today’s Sitting, 10 Members spoke on the matter.
