Co-Chair of the Economic Council at the President’s Office, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Adheeb has said that the water crisis in the capital Male’ has caused major damages to the economy of Maldives.
Speaking at the press conference held at the President’s Office, Adheeb said that the tourists visiting Maldives should be more informed of the situation.
Adheeb said that some tourists have been asking travel agents regarding the supply of water in the resorts.
Adheeb said that the resorts are separate islands and they have their own water desalination system therefore the water crisis has not affected any other island other than the capital Male’.
