Managing Director of Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), Ahmed Umar has stated that the company will not be billing any charge for the customers until the water crisis faced by the people living in Make’ due to the fire that broke out in the company is resolved.
Answering a question asked by Miadhu Daily following the press release issued by the company last night, Ahmed Umar said that the company stated that 30 percent of the bill will be relieved because as a month has thirty days and the water crisis is expected to be resolved within ten days.
He said that the company decided that customers would not be charged from last Thursday until the problem with water supply is resolved.
“We have the details on the usage of water by our customers. Therefore this will be arranged in a way that our customers are pleased and assured with. This is the decision of the company,” he said.
He said that none of the customers should worry about their bill when giving out water to neighbours and others during the crisis.
