In this regard, Ms. Michele J. Sison, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Maldives is among those who have this belief regarding Gasim Ibrahim.
The Ambassador paid a farewell call on the Jumhooree Party leader Gasim Ibrahim.
Jumhooree Party’s Deputy Leader Ameen Ibrahim, the party’s Parliamentary Group’s Deputy Leader and the Kinbidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Riyaz also participated in this meeting, held at Villa House.
During the meeting, the Jumhooree Party leader highlighted the excellent relations between the Maldives and the United States of America and expressed deep appreciation to Ambassador Sisson for her invaluable efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the Maldives and USA, and for the assistance and cooperation extended to the Maldives during her tenure.
Ambassador Sison stated that it has been an honour serving as the Ambassador of the United State of America to the Maldives and reassured Gasim Ibrahim, of the US Government’s commitment to continue working with the Maldives.
She also expressed her gratitude for the assistance and cooperation extended by the Jumhooree Party.
