Makunudhoo constituency MP, Anara Naeem has said that the people will be benefited a lot if the money received for Zakat increases.
Anara said that the Zakat received for the state will benefit the state budget and thereby benefit the people.
She said that Zakat money can be spent as subsidies and the poor should be given subsidies from the Zakat.
In addition to this, Makunudhoo MP said that more awareness programs on Zakat should be held.
Furthermore, Anara said that the current subsidy system of the government has many flaws and people who don’t have a right in receiving those subsidies are granted these subsidies under the current system.
